It is a great pleasure to present all our guests and friends with the 2023 RI DoP "Taste the Passion" Wine dinner menu. This event is designed specifically to pamper our guests. Bringing diverse groups together around a table and providing the ultimate Portuguese gastronomic experience fusing contemporary concepts rooted in authentic Portuguese recipes.
This year we have the distinct honor of presenting the signature menu of Chef Luis Parreira, executive chef, at the renowned Paris Cafe in Manhattan. Chef Parreira, from Faro, had his formal training in Portugal and has worked in prestigious restaurants in Portugal and the United States.
I also want to extend my appreciation to Christopher Phillips and the team at the Capital Grille, your talent, and professionalism have made the "Taste the Passion" wine dinner a sold-out premier event year after year.
My thanks to Fatima Pereira and the team at Mancini Beverage for the top-shelf Portuguese wines paired with this year's stellar menu. We are also featuring Pedro Teixeira speaking about the fine wines of Quinta Nova De Nossa Senhora Do Carmo.
